Details
The overall pace of maritime operations in the Black Sea remains slow. Ukraine continues to successfully limit Russian maritime operations in the eastern part of the Black Sea
According to British intelligence, the fact that the Russian Navy perceives the threat of attacks from Ukraine is evidenced by frequent training exercises to disperse and counter unmanned surface vessels/unmanned aerial vehicles in Novorossiysk and its surroundings.
At the same time, it is noted that Ukraine continues to undermine the credibility of the Russian Black Sea Fleet by attempting to attack naval infrastructure and ships in the Black Sea.
According to British intelligence, a massive missile attack on November 28, 2024, targeting critical national infrastructure in several regions of Ukraine, included launches from Russian Black Sea Fleet ships operating in the Black Sea.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that 28 ground-launched cruise missiles were fired and that its air defense system was able to intercept a large percentage of incoming weapons systems fired from both the Russian Black Sea Fleet and long-range Russian aircraft.
