The Château Miraval winery in southeastern France has been threatened by massive forest fires. The estate was owned by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who are in litigation over its sale.

The French winery Château Miraval, which belonged to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has come under threat due to massive forest fires in southeastern France. This is reported by Daily Mail, UNN reports.

Details

The Château Miraval winery is located in southeastern France, in the village of Correns, where a massive forest fire is currently ongoing, spreading across Europe.

According to the publication, thick brown smoke was already visible near the winery and vineyards, and after sunset, red and orange tongues of flame illuminated the sky.

The 62-year-old actor purchased the winery back in 2012 together with 51-year-old Angelina Jolie. However, after the actress sold her half of the property to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler, Brad Pitt sued her in February 2022, claiming she violated their agreement that neither would sell their stake to a third party without the other's consent.

In response, Jolie told the court that she did not need Pitt's approval for the deal and that he had taken her previous statements about the sale out of context to achieve "financial independence."

Reminder

The actress is preparing for a new stage of life after her children reach adulthood. She has put her California estate up for sale for nearly 30 million dollars.
