Law enforcement officers should investigate the situation with Kyiv businessman Valeriy Mishchenko, who is allowed to steal from the state. Political analyst and blogger Taras Zagorodny wrote about this in his column, asking who Mishchenko is and who is behind him, UNN reports with reference to UNIAN.
"Bihus.Info journalists believe that Kyiv businessman Valeriy Mishchenko illegally seized companies that belonged to the traitor Medvedchuk. Let's look into this scandal in more detail. Let me start with the fact that in the summer of 2022, the Lychakiv Court of Lviv arrested Medvedchuk's assets, including the companies Akadem-Klub, Osokorky 7, and Orest. The case file stated that the pro-Russian politician's entourage owned them through a Cypriot company and a Hungarian nominee. Eventually, the seized assets were supposed to be confiscated in favor of the state. However, it did not happen as expected...," the political scientist noted.
He explained that despite the court ruling, the actual arrest did not take place due to legal formalities. Investigators and prosecutors, according to Bihus.Info journalists, did not ask the state registrar to enter information about the arrest into the state register so that "no one else could sell, resell or rewrite anything.
"And, of course, at the end of 2022, the companies were quickly re-registered. Petros Togramadzhian, a Bulgarian, became the owner of Akadem-Klub, Vadym Ivanov, a Latvian, became the owner of Osokorky 7, and Valeriy Mishchenko, a Kyiv businessman, became the owner of Orest. Another company previously owned by Medvedchuk, Victoria, was also taken over by Mishchenko. Investigative journalists believe that two other companies are controlled by Mishchenko through foreign front men," Zahorodniy emphasized.
Another interesting twist was noticed by Bihus.Info regarding this Victoria, the blogger added. As it turned out, she is the customer of the Dnipro Island residential complex, which is already under construction. And the developer is the company "Creator Bud", which has already become known for the story with the land and Mishchenko himself.
"The journalists found that the land here had a different purpose, but it was "corrected" to "for the construction and maintenance of an apartment building." The police opened a criminal investigation," the political analyst noted.
He also pointed out an important point. All these companies are developers. They lease land in Osokorky in Kyiv. Where, of course, they plan to build residential complexes and are already building them. According to Zahorodnyi, this construction will be very problematic, since the companies were logically confiscated from the traitor Medvedchuk and somehow ended up in the hands of businessman Mishchenko. In addition, the designated purpose of the land has been changed in a questionable manner. And people who invest in the construction of apartments in these residential complexes may not get their desired living space.
"So who is this Mishchenko who puts himself above the state? Who is behind this businessman who is allowed to actually steal during the war? I urge law enforcement to take into account the information of journalists and investigate the alleged theft of Medvedchuk's assets from the state, as journalists call it. Until we get another Wojciechowski, Elite Center, Arkada or Ukrbud with tens of thousands of Kyiv residents without money and apartments invested," emphasized Taras Zahorodnyi.
