Spanish side Barcelona has officially reached an agreement with English club Newcastle United for the transfer of winger Anthony Gordon. This was reported by the official website of the Catalan club, according to UNN.

The 24-year-old footballer signed a contract with the Blaugrana until 2031. The club noted that the Englishman will join the team after the conclusion of the World Cup. The deal is set for five seasons.
Gordon was born in Liverpool and began his football journey at the Liverpool academy, but later moved to Everton's system. He made his debut for the Liverpool-based club's senior team at the age of 16 and later established himself in the English Premier League.
In January 2023, the footballer moved to Newcastle, where he quickly became one of the team's leaders. In his first full season, he recorded 12 goals and 10 assists and was also named the club's Player of the Year.
