According to the Associated Press, 68 people have already died in one of the hospitals in Gaza where the refugee center was located, there are already 68 dead. In particular, 12 of them are women and seven children.
In general, only 9 out of 36 hospitals in Gaza are currently operating due to the fighting. They are very overcrowded, offer limited treatment and often lack basic equipment for surgeries. Doctors believe that in some cases, the limbs could have been saved with with proper treatment. However, hospitals lack the resources to provide treatment, so they remove them to avoid infections.
"People can die from the infections they have because their limbs are infected. We've seen patients with sepsis," said Sean Casey, a WHO spokesman. WHO spokesman, at a press conference last week.

Before the war, Gaza's healthcare system was overwhelmed after years of conflict and the years of conflict and a border blockade imposed by Israel and Egypt in in response to the 2007 Hamas takeover of the territory.
