A sequel to the successful Formula 1 film "F1 Movie" starring Brad Pitt is highly likely, and Apple also hopes to expand its involvement in Formula 1 globally after securing broadcasting rights in the US, Eddy Cue, Senior Vice President of Services, said on Friday, UNN reports, citing Reuters.

"I hope and expect that there will be," Cue said when asked by Reuters at the Miami Grand Prix about a possible sequel to the film.
According to the online database IMDb, the film cost approximately $200 million to produce, and box office receipts reached $634 million.
This season, Apple TV replaced Walt Disney's ESPN as the exclusive broadcaster of Formula 1 in the US, providing live coverage of all 24 rounds.
Cue said he was thrilled with how the media coverage has been received and stated that Apple intends to play a major role in the growth of the sport.
"The sport is not licensed on a global level," he added. "Do I hope that we can expand into other markets and other regions? Yes, I hope so."
"But starting with the US, which is a huge market for us, and growing from there is definitely the right way to go. And that's what we're focused on right now. The easiest way for us to continue to grow is to ensure a huge success. And, of course, it would be great to expand that," he noted.
Cue also said that the appointment of John Ternus as Apple's new CEO, replacing Tim Cook, would only strengthen the company's relationship with Formula 1.
"John actually drives a Porsche and does amateur racing," he explained.
