Businessman and Ukraine's wealthiest individual, Rinat Akhmetov, shared his vision for ending the war in Ukraine. In his view, the parties are gradually moving toward peace, and Russia has no grounds to continue the war. He spoke about this in an interview with The Guardian, as reported by UNN.

Responding to a question about the prospects for achieving peace, Akhmetov stated that he sees a gradual movement in that direction.
"I think we are gradually moving towards it. Putin's troops are stuck. For me, it's like a glass half full. Others claim it's half empty, but I see that the water is still there. Some people tell me that Putin has no reason to stop this war. I think the opposite: he has no reason to continue it,"
Furthermore, Akhmetov pointed out that while problems exist in Ukraine, they are not hidden because the country is a free and democratic state, whereas Russia has more problems, but they remain non-public.
"They tell me that Ukraine has many problems: yes, but in a free and democratic state, no one tries to hide them. Are there problems in Russia? I think there are many more, but they are kept secret. Russia's economy accounts for only 2% of global GDP. And how much does Russia invest in technology? Zero. They are less prepared for tomorrow's battle. They are putting a lot of money into this war against their neighbors, even though we never posed any threat to Russia,"
