This small but unique rescue operation was reportedly conducted on the outskirts of Kyiv.
A message from a 12-year-old boy, Oleh, who asked for help and said that he had been wandering in the swamp for more than three hours and could not find a way out, was received by the rescuers of Vyshhorod district.

As noted, rescuers immediately arrived at the scene.
"We kept in touch with Oleh by phone all the time, encouraging him and trying to get his bearings. It turned out that the swampy area was completely overgrown with tall reeds and bushes. We raised the drone. At first, they tried to attract the boy's attention with the sirens of a fire truck, but he did not hear them. After several unsuccessful attempts, the drone finally found Oleh and hovered over him. The boy, who was already stuck in the mud up to his waist and could not move, was brave and tried to help in the search," the rescuers said.
The rescuers followed the drone that was hovering over the young traveler through the swamp.
"When Oleh was brought to a hard surface, he was very cold, completely bitten by horseflies and leeches, with his legs cut by reeds. His clothes and shoes were dragged into the swamp. But the boy was brave and tried to tell the rescuers scientifically why he was in the swamp. But he had no more strength. And then the rescuers took turns carrying him," the rescuers said.
On the land, as indicated, the father and the medical assistance that both the traveler and the rescuer needed were waiting for them.
