Three years ago, Ukrainian soldiers liberated Bucha, and with this liberation, the world saw the horrors that took place here. During the Russian occupation of the city, 381 people died. In the entire Bucha community - 554, including 12 children aged 1 to 15. More than 1,000 people were killed in the Bucha district. These are ordinary civilians who found themselves defenseless against the aggressor.
According to him, Russia continues to deny its involvement in the killings of civilians, but thousands of facts indicate otherwise. He stressed that Bucha is not the only city that has suffered from the brutal aggression of the enemy, and when all temporarily occupied territories are liberated, "the world will see even more terrible evidence of Russian crimes and genocide against Ukrainians."
During his speech, he also stressed the importance of establishing a Special Tribunal on the crime of aggression against Ukraine within the Council of Europe - this is not only a legal necessity, but also a moral obligation to those who have suffered from the ruthless war. It is important that all crimes are investigated, and every criminal - from the perpetrators to those who gave the orders - is held accountable before an international tribunal.
