269 battles occurred on the front over the past day, the enemy used 8,980 kamikaze drones and 254 guided aerial bombs, the hottest was on the Kostiantynivka direction, which together with the Pokrovsk direction accounted for more than a quarter of combat engagements, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning update on July 31, showing a map of hostilities, UNN writes.

Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile strike, using 83 missiles, carried out 70 airstrikes, dropping 254 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 8,980 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,941 shellings of populated areas and positions of our troops, including 39 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past day, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck four UAV control points, three areas of concentration of personnel, seven command posts, and another important object of the Russian invaders.
Situation by directions
In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, four combat engagements with the enemy took place over the past day; the aggressor carried out one airstrike, dropping three aerial bombs, and conducted 78 shellings of our troops' positions and populated areas, including three from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, according to updated information, the enemy attacked our units' positions six times in the areas of the settlements of Starytsia, Zapadne, Kopanky, and towards the settlements of Okhrimivka, Radkivka, and Khatnie.
In the Kupiansk direction, nine enemy attacks occurred towards Tyshchenkivka and Radkivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy tried to break into our defense 17 times, attacking towards the settlements of Dibrova, Stavky, Lyman, Drobysheve, Ozerne, and in the areas of the settlements of Novomykhailivka, Hrekivka, Novoselivka.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy stormed 22 times in the areas of the settlements of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Riznykivka, and towards Pyskunivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Mykolaivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian invaders carried out four attacks in the areas of the settlements of Fedorivka Druha, Nykyforivka, and Tykhonivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 45 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Toretske, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and towards Stepanivka, Dovha Balka, Vilne.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 35 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske, and towards the settlements of Bilytske, Shevchenko, Myrne, Muravka, Novopavlivka, Novyi Donbas, Matiasheve.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out two attacks towards Kalynivske and in the area of Pershotravneve.
In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers carried out 13 attacks towards the settlements of Vozdvyzhivka, Kosivtseve, Hirke, Tsvitkove, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders stopped two attempts by the enemy to advance in the area of Bilohiria and Shcherbaky.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions over the past day.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
