During the past day, July 8, 268 combat engagements occurred on the front line. Russian occupiers launched two missile strikes using six missiles and 87 airstrikes, during which they dropped 295 guided aerial bombs. This was reported by UNN citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The occupiers also used 9,705 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,054 shellings of settlements and positions of Ukrainian troops, including 49 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Enemy aviation attacked the settlements of Luzhky and Volfyne in Sumy region.
Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck nine areas of concentration of enemy personnel, two artillery systems and two control points of unmanned aerial vehicles.
In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders stopped two enemy assaults over the past day. At the same time, the aggressor carried out one airstrike using two guided aerial bombs and conducted 44 shellings of Ukrainian troop positions and settlements.
In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled two enemy assaults in the area of Hoptivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked twice in the directions of Novoplatonivka and Kivsharivka.
Attempts to penetrate Ukrainian defenses were repelled in the Lyman direction, where the occupiers attacked fifteen times in the areas of Stavky, Drobysheve and Lyman, as well as in the directions of Druzheliubivka, Derylove, Shyikivka, Novoselivka and Yampil.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy carried out 28 assault actions in the areas of Kryva Luka, Zakitne and Riznykivka, as well as in the direction of Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked three times in the directions of the settlements of Nykyforivka, Tykhonivka and Yurivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, 29 attacks were recorded in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ilinivka and Ivanopillia, as well as in the direction of Stepanivka and Oleksandro-Shultyne.
The largest number of assault actions was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction. Ukrainian defenders stopped 38 attacks in the areas of Toretske, Pokrovsk, Rodynske and Bilytske; the enemy also carried out assaults in the direction of Pavlivka, Vilne, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, Svitle, Hulive, Matiasheve, Dorozhnie, Nikanorivka, Novyi Donbas, Kotlyne and Udachne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the invaders carried out three attacks in the directions of the settlements of Novoheorhiivka and Voskresenka.
In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 30 times. The enemy attempted to advance in the areas of Huliaipilske, Novoselivka and Verkhnia Tersa, as well as in the directions of Hirke, Rybne, Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Kosivtseve and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped two attempts by the enemy to advance in the directions of Stepove and Shcherbaky.
In the Dnipro direction, the enemy did not conduct assault actions over the past day.
Losses of the Russian invaders amounted to 1,310 people. Also, seven tanks, three armored combat vehicles, 59 artillery systems, four multiple launch rocket systems, one air defense system, one aircraft, four ground robotic complexes, 1,843 unmanned aerial vehicles, 363 units of automotive equipment and four units of special equipment of the enemy were neutralized.
