About 20 Ukrainian drivers stuck at the Polish border due to the strike have been evacuated, and negotiations are underway to create a mechanism for their return.

As of today, about 20 Ukrainian drivers stuck on the border with Poland due to the strike of Polish carriers have been evacuated. This was reported to UNN by Viktor Kozak, coordinator of the newly created headquarters for assisting Ukrainian drivers in Poland.

About 20 drivers have returned

The coordinator noted that a mechanism for returning drivers back is currently being developed.

"The evacuation is very simple, he (the driver - ed.) takes any bus or car and moves here. Now it is being decided how to return back. Negotiations are underway with the Border Guard Service on a mechanism for the driver's return,  without the Shlyakh system or through the Shlyakh system," Kozak said.

Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine reported that 25 drivers who were stuck on the border with Poland due to the strike of Polish carriers had expressed their desire to evacuate.

On November 24, the collection of data for the evacuation of Ukrainian drivers stuck on the border with Poland due to the blockade of Polish carriers was launched.

Before that, two drivers died on the Ukrainian-Polish border, where the strike of Polish carriers continues.
