Ukraine has imposed sanctions against suppliers of equipment for plants of the Russian military-industrial complex that produce components for missiles, as well as against Russian propagandists; the relevant decrees were signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Office of the President reported on Tuesday, writes UNN.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees enacting the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the application of sanctions against suppliers of equipment for plants of the Russian military-industrial complex that produce components for missiles, and against Russian propagandists.
In particular, sanctions have been applied against companies, their founders and managers that produce high-precision machine tools and equipment for them for enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. This equipment, it is noted, is both a direct and intermediate link in weapons production. "In total, the package includes 30 legal entities and 42 individuals," the statement says.
"Among those against whom restrictions have been applied are the 'Burevestnik' center, which is involved in the production of mortar systems and self-propelled artillery mounts 'Malva' of 152-mm caliber, as well as the company 'KAM-Engineering', which is an important link in the military sector of Russia for final testing of combat aviation units and individual missile systems," the statement says.
"We continue to find new, well-substantiated targets for sanctions. Each such decision further isolates Russian companies working for the military-industrial complex, complicates their cooperation with international partners, access to technologies, financing and equipment. Sanctions should make participation in supporting the Russian war machine toxic and economically unprofitable," said Vladyslav Vlasiuk, Advisor and Presidential Commissioner on Sanctions Policy.
The second decision concerns 15 individuals and eight legal entities that support Russia's aggressive policy towards Ukraine, spread Kremlin propaganda, distort facts and illegally carry out activities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine
In particular, as reported, "under sanctions is military blogger Volodymyr Romanov, who supports the war and occupation of Ukrainian territories. There is also video evidence of his participation in hostilities, where the propagandist fires an anti-tank missile system at positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. In addition, restrictions have been imposed against former military pilot who fought in Syria, and now propagandist Ilya Tumanov."
"Sanctions have also been applied to former synchronized swimmer Maria Kiseleva, who is a deputy of the Moscow City Duma. She visited the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and publicly supports Russia's war against our country," the statement said.
