President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday that he had held a regular meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff to discuss the protection of energy facilities in Kharkiv region and the possibility of strengthening air defense forces in the region, UNN reports .
"The main issue is Kharkiv, the defense of the city from Russian attacks and the possibility of strengthening our air defense and electronic warfare in the Kharkiv region. We will hear reports from the military on the physical protection of energy facilities and on the effectiveness of shooting down drones and missiles. There will be separate tasks for our diplomats to work with partners for the sake of new air defense systems for Ukraine," the President wrote on social media.
Zelenskyy also thanked everyone at the central level and in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region who is working as hard as possible to "restore the opportunity for people to live normally.
In addition, according to the President, at the Staff meeting, Chief of Staff Oleksandr Syrskyi presented information on the situation in the main combat areas.
"We are holding our ground. The main thing now is effective logistics. Intelligence and special services are working on new steps to reduce Russia's war potential," Zelensky wrote.
