Zelensky on depriving 34 people of state awards: “Maximum sanctions have been imposed on ten of them”

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that state awards go to those who defend Ukraine and do everything to keep it alive, not to those who help the enemy destroy the country. He commented  on the decree to deprive 34 people of state awards, UNN reports

Details

According to him, former government officials, MPs, heads of the SBU and the Prosecutor General's Office, prosecutors, artists, and Russian political, religious, and cultural figures have been permanently deprived of their awards.

In addition, as the President pointed out, “the maximum sanctions of 21 types have been applied against ten of them. Their assets will be blocked, their licenses and permits will be revoked, and we will completely stop their trade operations.

With its state awards, Ukraine thanks those who serve it, protect it and do everything to make it survive, not those who have sided with the enemy and are helping to destroy our country

- said Zelensky.

It was reported that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree enacting the NSDC's decision to deprive 34 people of state awards. In particular, these are Russian singers Nikolai Baskov and Philip Kirkorov and singers Ani Lorak and Taisiya Povaliy.
