On Thursday, August 22, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak took part in the first thematic expanded meeting of the working group dedicated to the implementation of the "Energy Security" clause of the Peace Formula. This was stated by the Office of the President of Ukraine, UNN reports.

The meeting was held online. The conference was joined by more than 40 partner countries and international organizations participating in the working group on energy security.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko, his deputy, and advisors to the Head of the Presidential Office.
Opening the meeting, Andriy Yermak noted that as a result of constant Russian missile and drone attacks on the energy system, Ukraine has lost more than 9 GW of generation. As a result, the humanitarian and economic situation has deteriorated significantly.
The Head of the President's Office emphasized that due to the critical importance of energy security and given the approaching autumn-winter season, it is very important that this conference opens a series of events to implement the agreements reached at the first Peace Summit in Switzerland this year in June.
According to him, similar meetings will be held in the near future to discuss the points of the Peace Formula.
Andriy Yermak expressed special gratitude to the co-chairs of the Energy Security Working Group - Denmark, Norway and Poland - for their leadership and assistance to Ukraine, in particular in preparing this conference.
