On August 24, Russian troops shelled the Velykopysarivska community in Sumy region, killing a 59-year-old woman. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, according to UNN.
According to the investigation, on August 24, 2024, at about 14:00, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the enemy fired artillery at the civilian infrastructure of the Velykopysarivska community of Okhtyrka district, Sumy region
Reportedly, a 59-year-old local resident was fatally wounded in her own home as a result of the occupiers' attack.
Under the procedural supervision of the Okhtyrka District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
