According to Russian media estimates, drone attacks over the week disabled about 8% of the warehouse capacity of Russia's largest marketplace, Wildberries. The strikes hit logistics complexes in Elektrostal, Moscow region; Kotovsk, Tambov region; Krasnodar; and Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol region. In total, about 10% of the company's logistics infrastructure was affected.
Wildberries representatives acknowledge that all four damaged facilities will require complete restoration. Russian experts estimate the cost of building similar warehouse complexes at 35.5 billion rubles, not including equipment costs. Analysts of the Russian logistics market note that the loss of even 8% of warehouse capacity will have tangible consequences: delivery times will increase, goods distribution will worsen, and the resilience of the logistics network will decrease. The losses of hubs in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk, which supplied the southern regions of Russia, as well as the complex in the Moscow region, through which significant volumes of imported goods passed, are considered particularly critical, noted the government's Center for Strategic Communications.
The Center for Strategic Communications pointed out that Wildberries openly sells goods for the Russian army.
"After the strikes on Wildberries logistics centers in Russia, the traditional question arose: 'What are we being hit for?' The answer is quite simple. The largest Russian marketplace sells, without any restrictions, FPV drones, hexacopters, fiber optic spools for strike UAVs, components for their assembly, sights, armor plates, military equipment, and other goods used by the Russian military. When civilian logistics becomes a supply channel for war goods, it ceases to be exclusively civilian infrastructure. So the answer to the question 'what are we being hit for?' lies directly in the Wildberries catalog itself," noted the Center for Strategic Communications.
