The publication notes that there are currently no signs that the allies, who had previously demonstrated caution and indecision, are opposing the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on enemy territory. Even Germany, which was particularly afraid of provoking the Kremlin by allowing the use of its weapons, has taken a supportive stance.
The Foreign Ministry in Berlin told the newspaper that "Ukraine has a right to defend itself guaranteed by international law, and it is not limited to its own territory.
Politicians from the conservative opposition in Germany are even more supportive of the Ukrainian offensive and the use of German weapons in Russia. Roderich Kiesewetter, an influential member of the Christian Democratic Union, noted that strikes on "base zones" in Russia with weapons provided by Germany are completely legal.
