Ukraine's Ambassador to Germany Oleksiy Makeev responded to statements about the "freezing" of the war in Ukraine, saying that this would only lead to a large-scale conflict that would rage in Europe today. This is reported by UNN in response to Makeev's statement, which is quoted by dpa.
Details
According to the newspaper, Makeev opposed the statements of the leader of the Social Democrats (SPD) faction Rolf Mützenich about the "freezing" of the war, referring to the numerous rounds of negotiations with Russia since 2014, in which Germany also participated.
This freeze only led to the fact that today a huge war would be raging in Europe
Makeyev also said that last week he spoke behind closed doors with Mützenich, SPD leader Lars Klingbeil and SPD Secretary General Kevin Kunert and received assurances that nothing would change regarding Germany's support for Ukraine.
In addition, the ambassador called for the rapid delivery of weapons and ammunition.
"We need this not tomorrow, not the day after tomorrow, but today," the ambassador emphasized.

Omid Nuripour, a member of the Bundestag and leader of the Green Party, warned that freezing the war in Ukraine would help Russia, as Ukraine deserves to regain its territories and determine its own future as an independent state.
