Ukraine seeks to deepen cooperation with Denmark on the production of equipment for demining Ukrainian land. This was stated during a meeting with the CEO of the Danish company Hydrema, Jan Werner Jensen, by the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, UNN reports.

Details

Ms. Minister said that Hydrema mechanical demining machines are already operating in Ukraine.

It is extremely important for us that through cooperation with a Ukrainian manufacturer, the company has localized production in Ukraine and is working with a Ukrainian partner. Therefore, the opportunities for deepening cooperation are far from being exhausted. Today, this area is developing rapidly in Ukraine, and the synergy of efforts of Ukrainian and Danish manufacturers would help accelerate the pace of humanitarian demining

- Svyrydenko said.

The Ministry of Economy said that currently, 9 Hydrema vehicles are used in demining in Ukraine. In addition, the company's capacities allow it to produce 5 more vehicles this year and 9 next year.

We believe that Hydrema's capabilities and technologies can make an even greater contribution to the security of Ukrainian land. The company has already shown its effectiveness in achieving this goal. In addition to the machines operating in Ukraine, they have also trained Ukrainian specialists to use the equipment and repair it in case of breakdowns or explosions. So, thanks to the cooperation we have already built, we have the potential to increase it

- Ms. Minister of Economy is sure.

Addendum

The Ministry of Economy adds that a total of 77 heavy vehicles for humanitarian demining are currently operating in Ukraine.

In addition, last year during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London, two memorandums of understanding were signed with Danish company Hydrema and Croatian company DOK-ING on the localization of demining equipment production.

Recall

Japan plans to increase its contribution to humanitarian demining in Ukraine and to facilitate the entry of Japanese companies, including Nikken Corporation, which specializes in the production of demining machines, into the Ukrainian market to invest in Ukraine's economic development.
