The head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, has proposed a plan to "normalize relations" with Georgia, including the release of Mikheil Saakashvili from prison, the termination of direct flights between Georgia and Russia, and the prevention of Russia's evasion of sanctions, in response to Georgia's demands that it extradite former Georgian officials from Saakashvili's presidency who now hold positions in Ukraine.

The head of the Servant of the People faction in the parliament, David Arakhamia, sharply reacted to the demands of the Georgian authorities to extradite government officials from the Saakashvili presidency and proposed his own plan for "normalizing relations", UNN reports.

According to Arakhamia, "the pro-Kremlin Georgian authorities are putting forward some demands for the extradition of our citizens to 'normalize relations.

"If we really talk about 'normalization,' there is a plan for this:

1. Release from prison and return our citizen Mikheil Saakashvili.

2. Stop direct flights with Russia, as demanded by the Georgian people themselves.

3. Stop helping the aggressor to evade sanctions," Arakhamia said, adding that after the implementation of this plan, "normalization of relations will be easy.

Context

Tbilisi offered the Ukrainian authorities to extradite "criminals who currently hold high positions in the Ukrainian government."

We are talking about former Georgian officials under Mikheil Saakashvili's presidency who now hold positions in Ukraine, and who were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment in their home country after the change of government.

The reason for the statement was the public appearance of former Minister of Justice Zurab Adeishvili, who visited Germany as part of an official delegation as an advisor to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

In addition to Adeishvili, the statement also mentions Giorgi Lortkipanidze, who is the deputy head of the Counterintelligence Service of Ukraine.

Subsequently, it became known that the Georgian Prosecutor's Office sent a request to Belgium and Germany for the arrest and extradition of Zurab Adeishvili.
