Ukraine has been able to strengthen its positions on the battlefield and counter Russian aggression more effectively, while Russia faces a number of its own challenges. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre, during a media briefing alongside the leaders of the Nordic and Baltic countries and the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports UNN.

According to the Norwegian Prime Minister, the NB8 format countries remain committed to supporting Ukraine and highly value the resilience of the Ukrainian people in the face of the full-scale Russian invasion.
"We have the impression that Ukraine is now in a better position than before. You are exerting pressure on the battlefield, defending yourselves more effectively, while Russia faces certain challenges. At the same time, it continues to carry out unacceptable strikes against the civilian population of Ukraine,"
He emphasized that the Nordic and Baltic countries will continue to support Ukraine.
"This is an NB8 meeting, and Ukraine is here among its closest friends. We have been committed to supporting Ukraine from the very beginning and remain so today,"
