Ukraine welcomes the opening of another negotiation cluster on the path to EU accession, hopes for rapid progress and seeks to maintain this positive momentum during the opening of the remaining negotiation clusters, stated Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha on Tuesday, UNN reports.

"Ukraine and the EU officially opened negotiations on Cluster 6 'External Relations'," noted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
"Today's opening of Cluster 6 'External Relations' at the Intergovernmental Conference (IGC) is another clear signal that Ukraine is confidently advancing on the path to EU accession. I thank the European Commission, the Irish Presidency of the EU Council, and all EU member states for their leadership and support in achieving this important decision," Sybiha stated on X.
The minister noted that one of the two chapters within Cluster 6 – Chapter 31 – falls under the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine regarding the implementation of reforms. "And I can proudly say that over the past years we have achieved 99% alignment of Ukraine's foreign policy with EU policy. This excellent result gives hope for rapid progress," Sybiha indicated.
"Ukraine remains fully committed to advancing reforms and achieving full alignment with the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy. We seek to maintain this positive momentum during the opening of the remaining negotiation clusters. Together we are building a stronger and safer Europe!" Sybiha emphasized.
