The day before, the governments of Ukraine and the Czech Republic signed an agreement on cooperation in the fight against crime and ensuring public order and security.
The previous agreement between the governments in this area was signed more than 25 years ago.
The updated Agreement ensures cooperation in the field of crime prevention, detection and combating. It intensifies the process of exchanging information and responding to the challenges facing our countries.
Cooperation with Czech colleagues in the fight against crime is one of the most active among European countries. Since the beginning of this year alone, the police agencies of Ukraine and the Czech Republic have had more than 2,000 contacts. Together, we are successfully implementing the Cyber Security project and participating in the Ukrainian Task Force, established on the basis of Europol to prevent human trafficking," said Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.
