The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on two oil refineries and an airfield on the territory of Russia, reports UNN.
"On the night of July 8, as part of reducing the military-economic potential of the Russian aggressor, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Saratov Oil Refinery (Saratov region, Russian Federation)," the General Staff said in a statement.
Explosions and a fire were recorded on the territory of the enterprise. The extent of the damage is being clarified.
As reported by the General Staff, the Saratov Refinery is part of the structure of the company "Rosneft" and is one of the key oil refining enterprises of the Volga region. Its design capacity is about 7 million tons of oil per year. The plant produces gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, which are used, in particular, to support the military logistics of the aggressor state.

A strike was also carried out on the oil refinery "TAIF-NK" in Nizhnekamsk (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation). Explosions and a fire were also recorded on the territory of the enterprise. The extent of the damage is being clarified.
The strike was carried out by fighters of the Special Operations Forces: "Half the night and morning the SSO burned two oil complexes of the Russian Federation in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan."
"TAIF-NK" is one of the largest oil refining complexes in the Russian Federation, which includes the refinery itself, a gasoline plant and a complex for deep processing of heavy residues. The design capacity of the enterprise for oil refining is over 7 million tons per year, and taking into account all types of raw materials, the complex capacity exceeds 8 million tons. The plant's products are diesel fuel, gasoline, aviation fuel and other petroleum products involved in supporting the economy and military logistics of the Russian Federation.
Footage taken in Nizhnekamsk shows that the strikes were carried out by FP-1 drones, manufactured by Fire Point.
In addition, the airfield "Borisoglebsk" in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation was struck.
