Two churches burned on Christmas Day in Kyiv region

In the Kyiv region, the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary and St. Michael's Church were burning.

In the evening of December 25, two fires broke out in religious buildings in the Kyiv region . The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin burned in the Vyshgorod district, and St. Michael's Church in the Bila Tserkva district. UNN reports this with reference to the State Emergency Service in the Kyiv region.

Details

On December 25, at 22:19, reported a fire in the Bila Tserkva district. The St. Michael's Church, built in 1896, which is an architectural monument of the UOC, was on fire.

The fire was extinguished at 23:50 on an area of 300 square meters.

A few hours earlier, at 19:11, a fire was reported in the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Vyshgorod district. The fire was extinguished at 19:58 on an area of 2 m. square meters.

The cause of the fire is not reported.
