The European Broadcasting Union has announced changes to the rules for holding the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be applied in 2025 in Basel. This is noted on the official website, writes UNN.

Details

For the first time in the history of the main music event of the old world, all accredited participants will be required to comply with the code of Conduct, which provides for creating an atmosphere of respect and support for artists. Compliance with these principles will be monitored by the designated "welfare producer".

Performers will be given the opportunity to stay in a special room without cameras and the press, and the number of rehearsals behind closed doors will increase. Also, the competition schedule will be designed in such a way that artists have more free time "to get acquainted with the sights and beauty of the host city."

addition

All these measures are aimed at preventing the situation that arose at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo: then the Dutchman just Klein, due to excessive attention, had a conflict with a woman from the broadcast team, which led to the disqualification of the singer before the final. Later, the charges against Klein for aggressive behavior were found groundless.

recall

The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland. The corresponding decision was made by the organizers of the contest - SRG SSR and the European Union of radio broadcasting and television (EBU).
