According to the agency, the settlement amount is not disclosed. At the same time, Meta Platforms and Snap remain defendants in the case, while YouTube, owned by Google, also reached a settlement with the plaintiff in early June.

Bloomberg notes that TikTok and other major social platforms are defendants in over 3,000 individual lawsuits from users or their families. The plaintiffs claim that the services' algorithms cause addiction and harm the mental health of minors.

As Bloomberg reports, TikTok was also a defendant in this case, but reached a settlement before the trial began. The company has not yet commented on the new settlement.
