Three more countries supported the creation of a Special Tribunal for the Russian aggression against Ukraine - MFA

Montenegro, Romania, and San Marino have supported the creation of a Special Tribunal against the Russian Federation. The number of participating states in the initiative has officially increased to 32.

Montenegro, Romania, and San Marino have announced their intention to join the Enlarged Partial Agreement and facilitate the establishment of a Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, according to UNN.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha stated that the number of states supporting the initiative continues to grow.

"Already 32 states are with us. The momentum is building. We are preparing for the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to approve the agreement this Friday in Moldova,"

Sybiha noted.

The Foreign Minister also thanked partners from Montenegro, Romania, and San Marino for supporting the creation of the tribunal.

"I am grateful to our partners in Montenegro - Ervin Ibrahimović, Romania - Oana Țoiu, and San Marino - Luca Beccari for their principled position in support of these historic efforts,"

the Minister emphasized.

Sybiha also called on other states to join the initiative.

"We call on all countries to join us and ensure accountability for the crime of aggression against Ukraine,"

he added.

Liechtenstein will join the agreement on the establishment of a Special Tribunal regarding Russian aggression.
