In the Ukrainian market in January - June 2026, the share of new passenger cars with traditional engines increased to 62%. This was reported by Ukravtoprom, writes UNN.
In the first half of 2026, cars with traditional engines accounted for almost 62% of the Ukrainian market for new passenger cars. In the same period last year, this figure was 56.5%
The most popular among Ukrainians this year were gasoline models, accounting for 39.2% of new car sales. Last year, this figure was 37.1%.
The share of hybrid cars increased from 26.5% to 29.8%. Diesel cars accounted for 22.5%, compared to 19.4%.
At the same time, the share of electric vehicles decreased from 16.9% last year to 8.3%.
Cars with LPG, as last year, accounted for less than 1% of new car sales.
The leading positions by segment were:
- Gasoline cars — Hyundai Tucson.
- Hybrid cars — Toyota RAV4.
- Diesel cars — Renault Duster.
- Electric cars — BYD Leopard 3.
- Cars with LPG — Hyundai Tucson.
