According to the AFU Air Force data, on the night of July 8 (from 18:00 on July 7), the enemy attacked with two Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from the Black Sea area, five Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles (launch areas – temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Bryansk Oblast, - russia), 169 attack UAVs of the Shahed (including jet-powered), Gerbera, Italmas types, and imitation drones of the "Parody" type from the following directions: Bryansk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo – russia, Donetsk - temporarily occupied territories, Gvardiyskoye, Chauda - temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 139 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, and drones of other types in the north, south, and east of the country. Hits were recorded from 5 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles at 4 locations and 20 attack UAVs at 11 locations, as well as the fall of shot-down (debris) at 7, and two Kh-31P anti-radar missiles failed to reach their targets
The attack is ongoing, there are several enemy UAVs in the airspace.
