The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine of Defense of Ukraine has won five arbitrations with foreign suppliers for the amount of over UAH 900 million. The Defense Ministry has won arbitrations for more than UAH 900 million. In 100 days of work since September 2023, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has won five international arbitrations with foreign suppliers worth more than UAH 900 million. The disputes arose over non-delivery of property, violation of the terms of delivery and the quality of the goods themselves.
Details
According to the Defense Ministry, an international arbitration has ordered the Ukrainian defense ministry to recover in favor of 6,934,936.92 USD and 16,472 958.45 euros. The court also ruled that the interest per annum continues to accrue on a daily basis until the supplier pays its the debt to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In addition, the Ministry of of Justice of Ukraine filed claims to Swiss arbitration in the amount of 33,164,788.23 USD.
These claims were prepared by the Ministry of Justice specialists together with the Legal Legal Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
It is worth reminding
In September UNN wrotethat the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine won a dispute in international arbitration for more than 3 million euros for low-quality bulletproof vests for the Armed Forces. The foreign supplier must compensate the defense ministry for the undelivered goods, penalties and interest per annum.
And in November, the Defense Ministry won almost 400 million hryvnias from a foreign supplier of bulletproof vests and helmets.
