The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and authorized about 20 samples of MRAP armored combat vehicles since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Russia. These vehicles have enhanced protection against mines and ambushes. This was reported by the defense ministry, UNN reports .

MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) is a class of military equipment with enhanced ballistic protection of the hull, produced by defense companies in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Turkey, etc.
Armored vehicles based on the MRAP principle consist of a capsule that provides protection for personnel during a mine explosion. The engine and wheels act as explosion-absorbing elements that absorb all the kinetic energy from the mine explosion, preserving the integrity of the module.
The arsenal of armored vehicles of the Ukrainian army has also been replenished with products of Ukrainian manufacturers of the weapons and military equipment sector based on this technology.
