The main flag of Ukraine has been lowered in the capital due to the forecasted bad weather, UNN reports with reference to KCSA.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, a thunderstorm and wind gusts of 15-20 m/s are expected in Kyiv today, August 22 (hazard level I, yellow).
"The flag will remain at half-mast until weather conditions improve," KCSA added.
The flagpole is almost 90 meters high and weighs 32 tons. The size of the flag cloth is 16 by 24 meters.
