The Kremlin said on Wednesday that U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are currently busy with other matters, but contacts with them regarding Ukraine are expected to resume when they become available. Reuters reports, writes UNN.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made this statement while answering a question about whether other envoys could be involved in discussions on Ukraine while these two are occupied. Witkoff and Kushner are part of the U.S. team negotiating a peace deal with Iran.
"We understand that contacts will continue," Peskov said. "Of course, they are currently busy with other matters, but at some point they will become available, and we count on further work."
He noted that Russia is grateful to the envoys for their efforts on Ukraine, which he called "highly constructive." According to him, they are ready to listen to all sides — and this is especially valuable now.
Positive statements came after earlier this week Russian officials accused the U.S. of failing to fulfill the "agreements" reached between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump at the summit in Anchorage in August last year.
Reminder
Russia is trying to understand whether Trump has changed his position on the war in Ukraine after Macron's statement at the G7. Lavrov said the U.S. did not report its conclusions after the summit.
