Drone attacks on Zaporizhzhya NPP have stopped, but the situation at the plant remains unpredictable, said Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), UNN reports .
Details
According to him, the IAEA experts working at the NPP hear artillery shelling every day in places at different distances from the plant.
On Monday, April 22, IAEA experts visited the training center located near the perimeter of the ZNPP site. It was the first time they had visited the center since reports of drone attacks on the building on April 7, 9, and 18. The experts were not shown the roof, but a representative of the training center assured them that it had not been damaged this time.
We have not been aware of any drone attacks since the incident was reported a week ago, which is encouraging. However, we know from experience that the situation can deteriorate dramatically at any time. The situation remains highly unpredictable
AddendumAddendum
Elsewhere in Ukraine, IAEA teams working at Khmelnytsky, Rivne, South Ukrainian NPPs and Chernobyl NPP reported that nuclear safety was being maintained despite the effects of the war, including air raids that took place for several days over the past week.
