Major Serhii Filimonov, commander of the 108th separate assault battalion of unmanned systems of the 59th separate assault brigade, was brought to disciplinary responsibility by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dated 27.06.2026 No. 270. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, writes UNN.
Details
This decision was the result of an official investigation that had been conducted since May 2026.
The official investigation concerned events that took place on May 1, 2026, in the city of Shakhtarske, Dnipropetrovsk region.
At that time, law enforcement agencies detained three servicemen of the 108th separate assault battalion.
They were notified of suspicion of committing crimes under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 2 of Article 146 — "Illegal deprivation of liberty or kidnapping of a person."
- Part 4 of Article 296 — "Hooliganism."
Based on the results of the investigation, it was established that Major Filimonov violated the requirements of a number of articles of the Disciplinary Statute and the Statute of the Internal Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition to the battalion commander, disciplinary sanctions were also applied to other servicemen of this unit.

On July 18, the commander of the "Wolves of Da Vinci" battalion, Serhii Filimonov, stated that he had received a reprimand.
