The full-scale launch of the Freyja antiballistic program is scheduled for mid-2027, said Denys Shtilerman, co-owner and chief designer of the Ukrainian defense company Fire Point. He also debunked the fake claim that Fire Point would supposedly "close the skies over Ukraine by the end of the month," which some media outlets are presenting as a statement by the company. Meanwhile, Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh said that spreading such fakes is intended to discredit Freyja, reports UNN.
As Shtilerman explained, only the first cluster of integration work has currently been completed as part of the Freyja project. A technologically complex stage of combining all components into a single system lies ahead, after which the system must undergo a full testing cycle and practically confirm its ability to intercept ballistic targets.
Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh also responded to the spread of false information. She pointed out that fakes about the timeline for launching Freyja create false expectations in a society that lives under the threat of ballistic attacks every day. In addition, Terekh believes that these manipulations are intended to discredit work on the antiballistic program.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the program would be implemented within a similar timeframe.
"Developing our own ballistic capabilities and creating a new antiballistic system is a task that only an absolute minority of countries in the world have managed to accomplish. Ukraine has this capability. Ukrainians have the relevant scientific foundation and expertise. We can state that our weapons manufacturers have already reached the required level as well. We expect Ukraine to achieve the necessary results during the 2026–2027 period," Zelenskyy said.
