A bill has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada that provides for the introduction of administrative liability for driving vehicles exceeding the permissible noise level. During the period of martial law, fines may range from UAH 17,000 to UAH 34,000. This is reported by UNN with reference to the bill's card on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

The bill proposes to supplement the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses with a new Article 124, which establishes liability for operating vehicles exceeding the permissible noise level.
According to the document, for such a violation during a regular period, a fine of 500 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens is proposed, which amounts to UAH 8,500.
At the same time, during martial law, it is proposed to increase the fine to 1,000 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens – UAH 17,000.
For a repeated violation within a year, a stricter punishment is provided. During a regular period, a driver may face a fine of UAH 17,000 with or without deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of three to six months.
If the repeated violation is committed during martial law, the bill provides for a fine of 2,000 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens – UAH 34,000 – with possible deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of three to six months.
In addition, the document proposes amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Road Traffic," obliging drivers not to allow driving vehicles exceeding the permissible noise level.
It is also proposed that the Cabinet of Ministers instruct the Ministry of Health, together with the relevant authority in the field of road transport, within three months after the law enters into force, to develop and approve the maximum permissible levels of external noise for vehicles depending on their category, engine type, power, and also to establish stricter requirements during nighttime – from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
