The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the list of state bodies that can purchase goods, works and services for the construction of military engineering and fortifications, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports, UNN.
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a resolution drafted by the Ministry of Defense that expands the list of state bodies that can procure goods, works and services for the construction of military engineering and fortification facilities

According to the resolution, funds for the construction of military engineering and fortifications may be allocated from the state and local budgets and other sources not prohibited by law.
The resolution also stipulates that the Ministry of Defense, the State Special Transport Service and the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure may act as customers for the procurement of defense goods, works and services, and not just regional military administrations, as was the case before.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will decide on the number and location of construction sites, taking into account the proposals of the military command.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the new approach will ensure the creation of a powerful network of fortifications based on a unified strategy. The same principles will be applied to all facilities:
- technical specifications;
- architectural and engineering solutions;
- safety requirements.
