Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi discussed the situation on the battlefield and assistance in training Ukrainian soldiers in France with Chief of the Joint Staff of the French Armed Forces Thierry Bourcart, UNN reports.

Had a phone conversation with Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of the French Republic, Army General Thierry Bourcart, and informed him about the situation on the battlefield. In particular, that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have managed to stabilize the situation in eastern Ukraine
He thanked the French government and the French people for their constant and consistent support of Ukraine.
"I also expressed my gratitude to for their assistance in training Ukrainian servicemen in France," Syrsky added.
According to Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, French President Emmanuel Macron , speaking about sending troops to Ukraine, only wanted to say that there is a possibility of training Ukrainian soldiers directly in Ukraine, not abroad.
