According to Syrsky, if Russia launches an offensive in the south of Zaporizhzhya region, "we will be able to give them a good answer."
When asked if it was possible to stop Russia's advance, he replied: "Yes, of course. First of all, it depends on our brave soldiers, our officers." According to Syrsky, quite often "resilient and heroic" Ukrainian units defeated large enemy groups.
He cited Russia's latest attempt to seize Kharkiv and the neighboring Sumy region as an example. "It failed," Syrsky said. He also added that Putin's attempt to create a "so-called security corridor" near the Russian border and the Belgorod region was thwarted.

Mariupol mayor's adviser Petro Andriushchenko reported that the enemy continues to move equipment and personnel towards Rozivskyi district of Zaporizhzhia region. The occupiers' vehicles are clearly fresh, and the soldiers are wearing new uniforms, which may indicate newly formed contractor/mobilized units in Russia.
On July 23 , the spokesperson for the Tavria JFO statedthat the number of enemy personnel in Zaporizhzhia region reaches almost 90 thousand soldiers, but according to intelligence, there are no sharp, significant changes that would affect the nature of the hostilities and no signs of the formation of an enemy offensive group.
