Messages about allegedly cash payments for prolonged power outages are spreading on social media. The State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine reports this, UNN informs.

This is yet another fraudulent manipulation aimed at seizing funds from gullible citizens
What happens if you follow the link?
It is indicated that such a link usually leads to a phishing site created to steal personal and banking data. On the fake site, you will be asked to enter confidential information:
- login and password to online banking;
- payment card number and its expiration date;
- CVV code and even PIN code;
- phone number, date of birth.
Having obtained this data, fraudsters will be able to access your online banking from their device and steal your funds

How to avoid falling into the trap?
- Do not follow suspicious links from messages
- Check information through official sources
- Do not disclose your banking login and password, PIN code of the payment card and CVV code to anyone.
