The laws on the state budget for 2025 and on amendments to the tax code will be signed in the coming days and will come into force on December 1. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on the air of the telethon, reports UNN.
"The law on the state budget for 2025 and the law on amendments to the tax code will be signed in the coming days," Shmygal said.
According to him, the Cabinet of ministers has already appealed to the president of Ukraine regarding the early signing of these laws. They are one of the key requirements of our creditors.
"They are important for filling all expenditure items for the defense of our state this year and next. After signing these laws, we will receive an additional resource for purchasing weapons and ammunition and paying salaries to the security and Defense Forces," Shmygal said.
The prime minister noted that 60% of state budget expenditures for 2025 fall on the security and defense sector.
In addition, he recalled that next year more than UAH 2.2 trillion will be spent on the army, which is significantly more than the peacetime country's budget.
According to him, half of the defense budget is made up of the salary of our defenders and defenders. UAH 739 billion is provided for the production and purchase of military equipment and weapons. Almost UAH 47 billion will be allocated for the purchase of drones and UAH 55 billion for the modernization of the defense industry.
"Ukraine finances its army independently, and we attract funds from partners for the civilian part of the budget. We understand from what sources these funds will come and how we will cover all expenses. The social part of the budget is almost UAH 421 billion. the goal is to help people who really need it," Shmygal said.
He recalled that the Winter support program has already been launched.
"We continue the subsidy program, for which UAH 42 billion is planned next year. in March 2025, we plan to index pensions. This is our commitment and one of the key social conditions.We will send UAH 10.5 billion to veterans, almost UAH 200 billion to education, and UAH 217 billion to medicine," Shmygal said.
The prime minister assured that all programs planned for next year will be funded and implemented in full.
