Police have launched an investigation into President Yun Suk-yol and former South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun. The complaints accuse not only Yong and Yun Suk-yeol, but also a number of other high-ranking officials. The charges are related to the actions of officials during the declaration of martial law. It is currently known that the prosecutor's office has imposed a travel ban on the former defense minister.

Police have launched an investigation into President Yun Suk-yol's treason charges after declaring martial law this week.
The investigation was assigned to the Security Investigation Team of the National Investigation Department of the National Police Agency after two complaints were filed.
One complaint was filed by the minor opposition party Restore Korea, and the other by a group of 59 activists. The complaints accuse not only Yoon, but also former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, Army Chief of Staff General Park Ahn-soo, and Interior Minister Lee Sang-min of treason and other similar charges for their roles in the declaration and subsequent lifting of martial law on Tuesday.
