Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal discussed financial and defense assistance to Ukraine, European integration, and the confiscation of Russian assets with representatives of the European Parliament delegation . The prime minister announced this in Telegram, UNN reports.

Shmyhal reportedly thanked for the support of the opening of negotiations on Ukraine's accession. According to him, Kyiv, for its part, has fulfilled all the necessary conditions for the start of negotiations and expects them to be open by June this year.
"We appreciate, among other things, the preliminary approval of the extension of duty-free imports of Ukrainian goods to the EU. This is very important for the economy of our country," the Prime Minister emphasized.
He also said that Ukraine expects to receive 16 billion euros from the EU under the Ukraine Facility program this year.
According to Shmyhal, EU aid is one of Ukraine's financial anchors.
