Ukraine is strengthening its presence on the African continent - a decision was made to open 10 additional embassies, seven are already operating, and three will open in the near future. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a conversation with journalists from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Senegal, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Guinea, Chad, Kenya and Brazil at the Third International Conference on Food Security Grain from Ukraine, UNN reports.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a decision was made to open 10 additional embassies in Africa, of which seven are already operating and three will open in the near future.
The President emphasized that Ukraine would remain a guarantor of food security despite any Russian attacks and blockades. At the same time, the Ukrainian side is also interested in strengthening economic ties.
"We are interested in the economy, so we have set the task of opening new grain houses - hubs for the preservation of various food products - in parallel with the opening of embassies. We are talking about bilateral relations with various African countries that will be interested in this. We don't want to just fill up with food. We want to share technologies, processing, our ability to cultivate land, and we want to exchange experience with your countries," the President said.
