Details

According to preliminary data, a window in the passenger cabin of the Boeing 737 "fell off during the flight." At the same time, according to the publication, a number of media reports state that after the glass of one of the windows shattered, a passenger was almost pulled out of the plane.

In particular, one of the passengers described the event as follows:

"The head and shoulders of one of the passengers were outside the window. Fortunately, he did not unfasten his seatbelt," the woman explained.

According to the publication, the window of the Boeing Co. 737 broke off shortly after takeoff because a fragment that had detached from the engine struck it.

"An unverified video from an account purportedly shows a broken window on the right side of the fuselage, with oxygen masks hanging from the ceiling. According to the airline's statement, the plane had just departed from Thessaloniki, Greece, and was heading to Memmingen, Germany, when the incident occurred. The pilots returned to Thessaloniki, where one passenger sought and received medical attention after landing. In a brief statement, Ryanair said that passengers were eventually taken to Germany on a replacement aircraft," the publication writes.
