Residential buildings in Semenivka, Novhorod-Siversky district, were damaged by Russian shelling. Criminal proceedings have been opened for violation of the laws and customs of war.

In Chernihiv region, Russian troops shelled the border town of Semenivka today, damaging residential buildings, the regional police reported on Wednesday, UNN reports.

This afternoon, Russians shelled a residential area in Semenivka, Novhorod-Siverskyi district. As a result of Russian strikes, windows were smashed in civilian homes, walls and roofs were damaged, and doors were punctured. Fortunately, no one was injured

- the police said.

A criminal investigation was opened into the Russian attack under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
